Seriously Behind!

So this post will be a little long because I have a lot to catch up on! Gabe is doing great- he is starting to talk more and more and I seem to be the only one that can decode what he is really saying! Dr. Rose wants us to get him into some speech therapy so we are working on that! Shelby is growing so fast! We had one of my friends take some pics of them they are so cute. These are some of the negatives- just wait until you see the ones that she touched up- they are awesome! ( they are coming soon!) She loves playing with her legs and putting her fingers in her mouth!
Shelby is 4 months old right now- she is 25 inches long (75%0 and 13 lbs. 4 oz. (50%). She is slowing down a little but just to look at her she looks huge to me!
He is so sweet- he has one of the happiest smiles and laughs- I just love him!
He is such an awesome big brother- he tries to help me with Shelby all of the time. He wipes her face when she is drooling, puts her pacifier in when she is crying, plays with her and makes her laugh- they really are cute together! Shelby really responds to him!

It is amazing to me how fast time is going- I really can't believe that I have two kids right now! We still are having a rough time finding something that Shelby will eat- but I picked up this formula randomly at the store the other day and so far so good! She just screams and screams and fights eating. Usually she wears herself out crying and then she will eat- it is really sad! We are lucky enough to get into the specialist tomorrow- thank goodness- I am afraid that I will be bald and in the crazy farm soon!
We had a great 4th of July- I started the day with my first 5k- my time stunk- but hopefully the next one will be better- running has kind of helped me keep some of my sanity! Plus I am hoping that I can lose some weight as well!

This little turkey was quite fussy- after the BBQ at my parents house(which I love- especially the homemade peach and chocolate ice cream-way delicious!) I ended up taking her home before DHS fireworks- it had been a long day!

Here is Gabe waiting for the parade to start! We love going to the Kaysville parade and the water fight- Jon brings two huge containers of water to aid all the guys in their quest of soaking any dry person they see!

I have a lot more to blog about- but it will have to wait until after this weekend! Sorry to be so far behind- but I am catching up!

All is well...?!

Well we hope that it will be! Shelby went in today for tubes in her ears! She has has one ear infection after the other and she has been miserable! Because of her acid reflux they had to put an IV in her and really put her out! Poor little thing- but hopefully from now on she will be a lot better! Gabe is growing like a weed and is talking more and more- most of the time we don't know what he is saying- but who cares- he is talking! Jon and I are busy being parents and I don't really know what else- but the days are going by very quickly! I will post longer soon!

Dear Teddi

Dear Teddi, I just wanted to tell you that we love you and we will miss you! You were such a big part of Gabe's life and of ours too! We love your family and will forever be grateful for your big heart and loving example. You leave behind a legacy of unconditional love that we all should emulate! We love you! For those of you who don't know- Teddi took care of Gabe and his birthmom before we were picked to adopt him. She was instrumental in helping his birthmom come to the decision to place him for adoption. She took care of him everyday- because no one else would! She loved Gabe so much and wanted the best for him. We have come to love Teddi as a member of our family and we will truly miss her!

Shelby's Blessing

We had Shelby's blessing at the beginning of the month, May 3rd, 2009! It was so nice- Jon gave her a beautiful blessing. It was great to have family and friends together with us. Even one of Jon's sisters that live in Texas was able to come- the weather was a little colder than I liked, but it worked out and turned into a great day! I didn't get too many pics of her in her dress that day so I dressed her in it again to get some more!

It is soooo long- but I loved it! It has a matching little bonnet- but I liked the headband better!

Clearly she wasn't very happy to be in it again!
I love this picture- she is so not happy- but I think that it was still so cute!

She had just smiled and I missed it! Like always!

Time is Flying!

I can't believe that we have a 2 month old! She just had her shots and has been miserable the last few days! But the good news is that she is growing...like a weed! She is huge for her age! For height she is 23 1/2 inches long- 90% , for weight she is 11 lbs. 6 oz, 70 %! Crazy! She is so smiley when she feels well and I love it! Gabe is starting to interact more with her and he will just sit there and laugh! It is so cute! The other day he tried to "pick" her up- just to help me- so I know that I will have to be careful not to leave her alone by him! I had some cute pics uploaded- but it kept erasing my post- so maybe later!

"Wicked"ly Awesome!

Yes- last night I had the privilege to go and see Wicked! I was quite skeptical if I was going to like it simply because I have never been to a Broadway show before and to be honest I am not into the drama-ish stuff ya know! Anyways- we went out to dinner with our good friend Sandy and some of her friends at Olive Garden! It was her birthday! Then we went to the show- and we had the best seats- we were on the second row- yes I repeat the second row! It was amazing- I really loved it and we were laughing so hard! It was hilarious at times! I wish that Jon could have been there, I think that he would have loved it- but he was a sweetheart and let me go have a night out while he watched the kids! Seriously- it was a great night- and now I can see why some of my family members like to sing the songs! No I won't be singing them out loud or anything- but they were good!
